Skanda Giri - Above the Clouds

Skanda Giri known as Kalavara Durga, is an ancient mountain fortress located approximately 70 km from Bangalore city, and 3 km from Chikballapur in the Indian state of Karnataka.The peak is at an altitude of about 1350 meters.

We actually Started at around 12AM midnight from Bangalore and reached to down of the hill at around 2:30 Am .from there we started climbing and reached the peak at around 5:30 AM. We waiting for the Sun to Raise which will be between 5:45 to 6AM.

please Plan this trip so as not to miss the Sun Raise. Besides sun raise there is nothing to see up here.make sure you carry a torch while going at mid night and also use chappals for this place. Since the hill rocks are watery
